the next day

I will do a proper recap when my head stops spinning, but here are the bullet points of last night's launch.
  • I have awesome friends
  • everyone loves free wine and cheese pie.
  • 50 books is not enough if everyone you invite actually turns up
  • this comic explains my problem with book signing.
One last thing before I go to sleep -- COMPETITION TIME!

Go here. And enter to win free copies of my book, shipped to anywhere in the world. (I'm thinking of you, TL Conway -- and all the others not in OZ)

Also, just how does one go about organising a blog tour?

  3. HA! Awesome--I kept checking back to see if there was any update. :)

I have no idea how to host a blog tour, but I'd LOVE to have you guest post on my blog if you're looking for exposure. Email me if you're interested, though heads up: I'm on a holiday-induced blogging time out but can line you up the first week or two of the New Year. tlconwaywriteshere@gmail.com

Congrats on the successful launch party!

  5. Congrats on your book launch. Sounds like a success.

As for the blog tour, well, it depends on how detailed you want to go. Susan Kaye Quinn and Cherie Colyer both did blog tours that I participated in. Others, like the one I saw at PJ Hoover's Roots in Myth blog today, tour for several days to a couple of weeks.

I am open to hosting you at my blog. You can e-mail me at tomewriter@gmail.com.

Usually, you want to have a button or badge for your tour, a catchy tour name, a giveaway or daily giveaways, things like that.

Also, have you had a chance to check any book review blogs that may do fantasy books? That's another great way to get your book in the face of readers as well.

Here's three cheers and hopes that you continue to be successful.
