We're gonna need a bigger platform.
I love the blogosphere. I'd blog even if I had no followers at all, if only to keep a journal for my future self about the year that changed everything.
But I also love the idea of using this medium to Get The Word Out about my first publication.
That is why I love this post.

ReplyDeleteT.B. here's to art teachers and drama teachers building lovely platforms for their writing lives - cheers!
ReplyDeleteJust dropped in to say hello, I'll be back later to have a poke around :-)
ReplyDeleteHello to you all! Thanks for stopping by. Poke around to your heart's content Sarah, hopefully you'll find something in the clutter!
ReplyDeleteKate: teaching gives us an angle with our dialogue. The kids think I am interested in their lives when I encourage them to gossip. Little do they know it is all getting logged away in my writer's brain.
Hi Jen, I'm thrilled to find so many other Aussies. Been too cold down in Melbourne, wish I was in Queensland.
tfwalsh. Need a period in there bro. I read your name is a Welsh accent. Unless you are actually welsh and not a T.F. then sorry.
And thanks for coming on board Mel. You started the ball rolling. My aim is to have enough momentum by the end of October that I won't let my blog/social media life fade away again.
Congrats on your book!!! Great to be campaigning with you :)
ReplyDeleteHi! It's nice to meet you! :)

ReplyDeleteHi fellow campaigner. I love blogging too. I've been doing it for a little over a year now and it's so satisfying.
ReplyDeleteHi T.B. You've announced the Campaign perfectly, succinctly, and humorously (the Jaws reference) in this post. I'm also in the Adult-All Genres group, and I'm pleased to meet you. I look forward to reading more of your posts and learning about your book!
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much. You have no idea the joy it gave me today to see the followers of my blog go from the doldrums of the 20's to the dizzying heights of the 30's. I feel like I have come of age.
